Da Camera of Houston will present the world premiere of Sombre, a new chamber work by Kaija Saariaho inspired by the Rothko Chapel. The Paris-based Finnish composer Saariaho is known for her sensual, expansive soundscapes and sensitive spirituality. American baritone Daniel Belcher is featured in the premiere.
