Abstract

Rev. Melissa Murry, Wiccan Tradition Suggested donation $10

Using a “ladder,” or cord with knots, to keep track of each recitation of the meditations, participants use an old Wiccan tool to focus group energy toward healing our Mother Earth, as well as any other needed healing. The web of energy connecting all beings is utilized in this meditation and makes use of these connections to effect change around the world. Rev. Melissa Murry, High Priestess of the Temple of the Sacred Raven, has been practicing Wicca since she was fifteen years old. She was initiated as a Third Degree High Priestess in the Coven of the Citrine Dragonfly of the Black Forest Tradition of Wicca. The series is cosponsored by Ligmincha Texas Institute, The Jung Center of Houston, M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, and the Rothko Chapel.
