From the press release: In October 1998… Amnesty International issued a special report: United States of America, Rights for All, detailing human rights problems in the USA and calling upon the US government to bring its laws and practices into accord with international standards – the same standards which the US government frequently invokes in pursuing global crises. Visiting Houston as part of a national speaking tour, Mr. Ajamu Baraka will address the persistent and widespread pattern of human rights violations in the United States.
