Abstract
Bobbie Osadchey
Jewish Mediation
Please see dates below
In May 2003 Bobbie Osadchey received her Master of Divinity degree form Houston Graduate School of Theology. The first and only Jewish graduate, Bobbie interned at Congregation Or Ami and formed the synagogue Caring Committee, Or Amigos, where she currently serves as chair. While in seminary she composed a definition for interfaith prayer now used as a guide for clergy who conduct public interfaith prayer. It was subsequently endorsed by the Anti-Defamation League and Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston.
Bobbie just completed one year of Clinical Pastoral Education at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in Houston. She serves on the Board of Directors for Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston and The Center for the Healing of Racism.
Bobbie founded a skin care salon, Bello!, which she owned and operated for eighteen years. She became certified in clinical camouflage and corrective make-up application for medical patients. She still maintains her license with the State of Texas as an Esthetician and in November 2005 completed an advanced make-up technique course.
She has co-chaired two Houston Community fundraisers and the Inauguration of Dr. Keith Jenkins as the third president of the Houston Graduate School of Theology. Bobbie is married to Rabbi Shaul Osadchey, Congregation Or Ami, and together they have six children and five grandchildren.
