Abstract
Jihan Barakah, Sufi Tradition
Join Jihan Barakah as she shares heartfelt Sufi stories, poetry, and a meditation practice as a way of life for the contemporary time and concerns such as love, work, and success, as well as timeless wisdom from Sufi masters, both ancient and modern. During the past 15 years, Jihan has dedicated herself to serving people through her “Quantum Shift Quest” programs, workshops, and live presentations, as well as through various media platforms as the producer and host for four radio-internet talk shows and a television talk show on NBC’s affiliate in Austin, Texas. In addition, Jihan facilitates weekly yoga classes for women, and is the co-founder of the annual Abraham Walk. The series is co-sponsored by Ligmincha Texas Institute, The Jung Center of Houston, M. D. Anderson Cancer Center, and the Rothko Chapel.
