Abstract

Watch the light dance on Mark Rothko’s masterpiece while listening to music from composers of various faith traditions in one expression of common humanity. Like Rothko’s panels, each one similar but unique, the individual works on the program are canvases upon which the artists have projected their experiences and longings. Intersection New Music Collective is comprised of performers from faculty at Sam Houston State University, as well as student musicians from the University of Houston and Rice University graduate and doctoral programs.
