Biography

Ernesto Maldonado, is a founding partner of Glassman Shoemake Maldonado Architects, Inc. He holds a Master of Architecture from Rice University and Bachelor of Arts and Art History from the University of Houston. He currently serves on the Chapel Site Development Planning Committee and is active in the American Institute of Architects, Houston Chapter. He has been involved in a number of community organizations and initiatives including Blueprint Houston, New Hope Housing, Clay Arts Museum and Educational Organization, Museum Park Super Neighborhood and Houston Center for Contemporary Craft. He is married to the former Rothko Chapel executive director, Mary Welch.
