Biography

Maconda O’Connor Abinader was born in Austin,TX, grew up in San Antonio, and came to Houston to attend Rice University. She graduated with her BA in psychology, in 2007 and has since earned her Masters in Architecture also from Rice in 2012. Maconda currently works for Jackson & Ryan Architects. When not working, Maconda devotes her time to the Brown Foundation Family Fund, the public art committee for Discovery Green, and the William Ward Watkin Advisory council to the dean of the Rice School of Architecture. She is married to Sacha Abinader.
